History of Science at the British Science Festival

Liverpool 2008 Sessions

The BA Festival at Liverpool ran from 6-11 September 2008.

Our Presidential Session was Maritime Liverpool: Knowledge and Power (Saturday 6th, 2-4pm).

• Science Fiction and You (Monday 8th, 3pm to 6.30pm)
• The Local and the Global: Liverpool and International Health (Tuesday 9th, 1.30pm to 3.30pm)
• The Business of Bodies (Tues 9th, Weds 10th, Thurs 11th)

Our Section President for 2008 was Crosbie Smith, Professor of the History of Science at the University of Kent. His books include:
